[Original post by Café Book Bean] Happy birthday, Café Book Bean! Always loved Poe, Happy Birthday, Sir.

EDGAR ALLAN POE

Today is my birthday, and I am honored to share it with Edgar Allan Poe, born January 19th 1809. Poe was a brilliant writer, and I love his work. I admire the deep sentiment within his work, which draws you in. His style is not for everyone, it’s sometime long and daunting, but there is beauty laced within the lines that you must keep reading to find.
Quotes by Poe:

I became insane, with long intervals of horrible sanity.
Hauntingly. Mysterious. Beautiful. What are your thoughts on Poe?
You can’t spell Poet without Poe 😉
Happy birthday. Who more controversial could you share it with than Edgar Allan Poe? He was much maligned for a time, something he did not deserve. Doctors say now that he probably did not die of a drug overdose, but he had a disease, and I can’t remember now what it was. That goes with growing old, I guess. I admire Poe, even have a mystery series that twists the titles of his works for its own titles.

And to add to that, I can thoroughly recommend Velda’s “twist of Poe” series. I have only had a chance at reading the first book, but I loved it! 🙂
